CLUTCH: New Album Title, Release Date Revealed
January 10, 2007CLUTCH has set "From Beale Street to Oblivion" as the title of its new album, due on March 20 via DRT Entertainment. Produced, recorded and mixed by Joe Barresi (KYUSS, TOOL, MELVINS, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE) at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, the CD "floods the room with riffs, melodies, and monstrously vital grooves," according to a press release.
A brand new CLUTCH song, entitled "Power Player", can be heard on DRT Entertainment's inaugural podcast, dubbed DRTcast. The 40-minute podcast also features an exclusive interview with Oderus Urungus of GWAR as well as music from SOIL, 36 CRAZYFISTS, STREET DOGS, ARTIMUS PYLEDRIVER, GWAR and POWERMAN 5000. CLUTCH's "Burning Beard" single is out now on CD, featuring the video for "Burning Beard". The U.K.-released vinyl 7" has "Slow Hole To China" on the flip side.
CLUTCH's last album, "Robot Hive/Exodus", was produced by J. Robbins (JAWBOX, THE DISMEMBERMENT PLAN) at Bearsville Studios in Woodstock, NY, and was mixed at Water Music in Hoboken, NJ.
